Problems in sending and receiving of email....
Hi all.
I have a email client on top of which i have used SSL protocol, used ports 465(smtp),995(pop3) and gmail server for sending and rx mails.When receving mails i have no prob..but when sending through port 465 the mail has been sent successfully and has reached sent items but @ the receiving end the sent mail cannot be retrieved, nor i have got any bounced mails...dnt know where it had reached...
Can anyone help....

We use to send the mail using from mobile devices using SSL with following values:
gmal mail client settings with SSL:
# POP server: pop.gmail.com.
# Port: 995.
# Require SSL: Yes.
* SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com.
* Port: 465.
* Require SSL/STARTTLS: Yes.
* Require SMTP authentication: Yes.
* User name: your Gmail email address.
* Password: your Gmail password.
# SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com.
# Port: 465.
# Require SSL/STARTTLS: Yes.
# POP server: imap.gmail.com.
# Port: 993.
# Require SSL: Yes.
# User name: your Gmail account name.
for Non SSL use optonline.net with following credentials:
uname: msmuser
Pwd: testing
mail address: username@techgyaan.org
for both incoming and outgoing the server address: mail.optonline.net
Incoming port: 110
Outgoing port: 25
and able to send and receive mails, we did not come across mails not reaching the destination even the sent folder shows that in sent items, sorry for not able to help you on this.
let me know if you are still facing problem using the ablove mentioned settings.

I have used the same settings as u have mentioned above...there is no problem for me to download mails...
The actual prob occurs when u send...
I composed a mail by using my gmail account and sent it via port 465 to the valid dest add (xxx@yyy.com)... the mail has been sent successfully and has reached sent items but when i tried downloading this mail from outlook,i was not able 2 retrieve it...
Can anyone provide me info as 2 what has happened
